Case 03 of 06Municipal web platform

A responsive municipal website in the Netherlands with a flexible block-based editing system and custom CMS capabilities.

Abstract modular content platform arranged as connected pages

Overview

A municipal website in the Netherlands, built on Laravel and Statamic CMS around one idea: editors should be able to build pages without writing code.

I owned both the frontend and the CMS implementation, from the first boilerplate to responsive interfaces wired into the content system.

What I did

  1. Developed the municipal website with Laravel and Statamic CMS, delivering a flexible block-based content editing experience.

  2. Initialized the project by setting up the application boilerplate and collaborating on the frontend architecture and CMS implementation.

  3. Built reusable content blocks for dynamic page composition, so editors create and manage pages without code.

  4. Extended Statamic CMS with custom features to support project-specific business requirements beyond its default capabilities.

  5. Took ownership of both frontend development and CMS implementation, translating designs into responsive interfaces and integrating them with the content management system.
